1First of All I want to give Ivan & Carter ***** (5stars) Their service was excellent responsive and they seemed genuinely interested in assisting me.
Second of all I want to give Mark No stars as his assistance was combative, accusatory in nature and threatening. He actually asked why didn't I take the US Postal Service to task for not delivering the request for documents. (Listen to the recording he doesn't belong in customer service).
My rating is based upon the fact
1) I did not receive any request for document retreival nor did I receive a second letter from the Merchant services letting me know that something was needed (like I did with the following two chargebacks). I found out about a $2096.89 chargeback when I contacted merchant services about another request for documents I had sent to see if it was sufficient and received. I was told it had been received and when I queried about other chargebacks, I found out about this one I was initially told there was nothing to do just to wait and see what American Express did because it was past the deadline. They refused to send to American Express any documents I would send. Over the weekend I anxiously awaited lamenting to a collegue of mine who advised me to contact American express myself. I did that next Monday morning and spoke with an incredibly kind and helpful agent named Kat who made some calls and then called me back for a 3 way with First Data. When I spoke with Dawn at first Data she at first refused to speak with Kat on the line even though it was Kat who called.... so I had her listen to what Kat had to say which was the following, "That because I had not received the document retrieval request and because American Express had not received any documents at all they (AMEX) would look at any documents that First Data would reopen the case and send send the documents. After Kat hung up Dawn told me that there was no process to reopen any cases at First Data. I persisted in trying to figure out how to deal with the problem so I was transferred to SBGA Merchant services Mark who could not figure out why I had been transferred to him and did a three way call with someone else at First Data a woman named Beth who basically told me my only option was to try to get the money back from the patient, who clearly was not going to hand it over if she had charged it back so she said my only option was to take the patient to court. She refused to give me any contact stating she didn't have an email, an address, nor a fax number for them. So needless to say I can't recommend SGBA nor First Data. I did finally find an online number for corporate First Data and they are looking into it so we shall see what will happen..... American Express on the other hand bent over backwards to try to help me so they would get 5 stars for their effort.
